Search for 43 missing students in Mexico turns up corpses of at least 129 other people
The search for 43 missing college students in the southern state of Guerrero has turned up at least 60 clandestine graves and 129 bodies over the last 10 months, Mexico’s attorney general’s office says. None of the remains has been connected to the youths who disappeared after a clash with police in the city of Iguala on Sept. 26, and authorities do not believe any will be. sigh...you know, I'm not surprised. Violence caused by the US-led war on drugs has led to the violence we see today. But, I would like to also point out that there are American cities that have similar, if not worse, violence as Mexico. It isn't all death and despair.
Well this sucks.
That country is seriously fucked up.
Unfortunately the US is to blame for many of these problems. The failed war on drugs has given rise to Mexican drug gangs that act like they are, well, at war. Armed to the teeth and willing to kill anyone that tries to stop them.
Yeah, they created a monster and it's going to be very hard to stop it.
Prohibition lasted 13 years and it did nothing to stop people drinking alcohol, if anything it made it more dangerous through poisoning, getting beat up as normal business practice or getting killed though corporate takeovers....oh wait...
