YouTube looked nothing like the screen in the article in it's first incarnation, and was actually this weird hybrid between a dating site, and a video uploading page. This was during the first public preview (as in "site is online, but we're still building it out") in late April 2005. They did move away from that fairly quickly though. :)

I wonder if anyone got married with someone they met on youtube. That would be so cool.
