    If a drug that's supposed to treat your depression warns you that a potential side effect is suicide, how's that not an obvious sign that it doesn't work? Imagine a drug for another illness that tells you a common side effect is death.

    On the other hand , there are alternative drugs that research has found promising for depression, like Ketamine and LSD, that cannot be used because they won't make money for Big Pharma.

    To compound the problem, mental illness can be as crippling or more than physical illness, yet most people still think of it as a defect of character, so people usually don't want to admit they have it.
