I wish this kind of ripoff was crime.

Ah, our glorious congressmen defending the rights of the people. The founding fathers would be proud.

And how gingerly they treat that father daughter connection. The power peddling is unambiguous in this whole connection to government and drug companies.

I don't see why her father being a Senator matters, sure it helped her get where she is what with the cheating degree stuff probably, but at the same time there are hundreds of dirty money-grubbing CEO's out there doing the same shit without powerful fathers.

Yes they are, and some of them, many of them have connections to government, or is this not important? Do you think there might be a connection?

I think the connection here is more CEO and Wallstreet, where a profit on paper causes the stock to rise and that's all anybody cares about and fuck the rules because we need that paper profit. The powerful protect the donor, the donor gets the money from Wallstreet, it's a vicious cycle that says fuck the people, let's swim in my pool of imported Fiji water.

Oh, they did this without the support of law?

There's the thing, there are no laws, regulations or whatever else you want to call them outside of maybe price gouging that they violated, the US isn't regulating drug or drug delivery system prices, that's why Tylenol at a hospital costs 400 a pill. Their only competitor suffered a recall and now they are no longer available, meaning EpiPen can raise prices and nobody can do anything.... truth is you can buy the drug and inject it on your own for cheap, they are charging for their need delivery system, it's just not convenient or easy injecting yourself with real needles.

When Mylan acquired the EpiPen, the drug didn't turn much of a profit. Then, the company hit on a massively successful marketing campaign that used fear of child allergies to sell more EpiPens. The company's revenue from EpiPens is now over $1 billion, compared to $200 million in 2007.

Since then, the price of EpiPens has risen more than 400 percent. The outrageous price hike is being compared to the hike to HIV drugs instituted by the infamous "pharma bro" Martin Shkreli.

Again it led to their need to appease Wallstreet because business can't be happy earning millions when they can charge billions.

I see, yes, they take advantage of laws.
