How is it that all these duplicate news stories are getting more upvotes than I when I post them 20 hours before them? Here is my reference in case anyone is interested http://snapzu.com/GingerBreadMan/scientists-h...oped-an-eye-drop-that-can-dissolve-cataracts/ (posted 21 hours ago)

Happened to me before too. I guess it's all about who's online at the time.

At the same time: why is this getting so many downvotes? It's (probably) not OP's fault for the repost, it's even from a different source (iflscience vs sciencealert).

Posting to different tribes at different times means different people will see it. The people who saw this one were just more inclined to upvote.

When I first looked at reddit 7 years ago or so, I noticed that the front page would be different every time I refreshed it. Even if I sat there refreshing it all the time, there would be posts I never saw. There are often posts that have similar stories, there are a lot of stories out there. I don't think you want to limit any web aggregation site to one post about any story. Even if it were possible. The front page is snapzu is like that now.

We are all in different timezones so we all see the site differently.

Also voting is capricious. If you could make people vote for your story then it wouldn't be voting, it would be influence.

As well as that, snapzu is not as dependent on voting as say reddit. You get points just for contributing, just for snapping, just for commenting.

You can always add your snap as a link to mine as spacefish just did. I welcome the addition. I welcome being part of the conversation. I liked your snap and upvoted it.

I should also add that the comment section on your post is much more related to the post.

Here are some other snaps you may like...
