This seems very unnecessary. I understand wanting to update an old logo, but it doesn't seem like they have a reason to change to "logi".
Even their flimsy reasoning doesn't seem to have any backing to it either.
It's certainly risky changing an established brand name that took years to establish a good reputation. I only ever recall seeing this sort of change from companies that were struggling. Or hoping that everyone would forget about their past history.
So how do you pronounce the name now? It used to sound like Logic-Tech without the C, no? Is it now Low-Gi, hard G?
All I know is my mind wants to pronounce the new name completely different, which isn't good for branding.
I think it migh be pronounced like logic, just no C. Not 100% sure though as that doesn't sound quite right when I say it out loud.

Logi sounds like something I'd find in the health food section of my local grocery mart. To help with digestion or something.
Reminds me of Radioshack when they were rebranding to 'The Shack.'
Drop the only part that has any relevance whatsoever, and what you have left is irrelevant.
I'm not sure about how this will change anything. It'll just make it weird for people who have known it as logitech for so long
This is just change for the sake of change. There seems no real reason for this and are they really going to just throw away a decade's worth of brand recognition?
