Beyond Meat soars 163% in biggest-popping U.S. IPO since 2000
Beyond Meat Inc. stock skyrocketed Thursday in the best-performing public offering by a major U.S. company in almost two decades. Shares of the plant-based meat maker — which priced its IPO at $25 a share Wednesday evening — started trading at $46 a share shortly after noon on the Nasdaq, and surged to $65.75 by the end of the session, for a gain of 163%. Prices hit almost $73 a share at their intraday peak. Shares were up another 4% after hours.
