    I, for one, welcome the possibility of extra arm and shoulder space. Economy class seats are quite narrow and share armrests, so even if your neighbor is smaller than average space can be an issue. A seating configuration like this could allow passengers of all sizes to sit through flights without worrying about bumping their neighbors.

    Facing other passengers really isn't the downside the article makes it out to be. It seems to work just fine on trains and buses, so why shouldn't it work on planes?
