I was always a fan of onions in cooking, and I use them anywhere I can as they always enrich whatever the recipe may be. My Wife's Grandfather swears by his onions, always being sure to bring a bag of his favorite kind to cookouts and hunting trips (in the spring/summer he grows his own too!). This was a delightful and informative read, thanks for the share /u/jcsher!
