I read about honey doing this apparently for the same reason.
Honey does this too,the cost of both makes sugar the cheapest to buy.
I wonder what the cost of sugar is at the hospital though? (in America, not the rest of the world)

Around here you get a discount if you pay the bill up front,so $1350/oz. Lol! Only in America.
