    I've seen a few documentaries on such types of schooling, and seems like an alarmingly large amount of the kids don't have any sort of social development in any way, as they're also being forced into learning the moment they leave school for the day.

    Exactly, the amount of time these students spend at school and with tutors is ridiculous. Instead of learning social skills like collaboration and general problem solving that comes with a rich activity-filled life, they waste their time and resources on memorizing mostly information that will never be used. Kids need time to think, and decide what direction they are going to go, if there is no time for that and everything is filled with just learning and memorizing as much as possible, they miss out on very important lessons that cannot be read in a book.
