      Oil prices are really putting the hurt on Russia,and if the trend continues it will be extreme hard times for the Russian people. We will see how long Putin stays popular when the economy goes south. "Falling oil prices have affected Russia because of the country's reliance on energy exports. Russia's estimate of the cost of sanctions and falling oil prices is $140bn a year."

        Yeah, the price of gas due to their conflict in the Ukraine isn't helping much either. Looks like Putin put all his eggs in one basket, and now the basket took a plunge off a cliff.
