Permaculture is probably one of the more ethical and sustainable practises and extends beyond the garden. The design principles are low cost to implement and can create fantastic foodscapes, gardens full of biodiversity, and fun.

I do the above. Parts of our yard have been allowed to grow natural and we now have lots of trees. We provide natural food for wildlife and our yard is a wildlife habitat.
