Geomagnetic Storm Coming Our Way
It's due to arrive sometime today (June 22, 2015). NOAA forecasters estimate a 90% chance of polar geomagnetic storms when the CME arrives. Aurora alert!

Looks like clear skies for the next 2 says, hopefully I'll catch the show.
unfortunately, in the land known for aurora, I won't be seeing any shows tonight no matter how powerful the storm is. When it doesn't get dark, you can't see the aurora.
Can't wait for the power outages! Had a weird one this morning... wait a second...

I couldn't possibly say. But I'll say why I think it's weird - usually power outages last a few minutes at least before the electricity is restored. This one was so quick that my TV didn't get a chance to shut down, my laptop immediately went to battery mode and stayed like that for a few minutes, and my boiler was in the "suffering from a fault" state.
Clear skies in Montana here. Hopefully it'll be good.
