Yup,the bird I hate the most..The starling. I knew it would be mentioned.
The starling is the bird I love to hate. I wish I could go back in time and prevent that pompous prick from bringing them to America.
I'm not a bird watcher or anything, and maybe that's because my wife is terrified of birds, but, why is the Starling so hated? I've heard this before from other people as well.
It's an introduced bird that is a cavity nester. It competes with native birds,like bluebirds and flickers and wins...Which is not a good thing. You have mentioned your wife is terrified of birds before,which is really hard for me to wrap my head around since I've had birds as pets since I was a kid and enjoy watching them. (Except starlings,which I want to kill on sight.)
