    It's not a master piece, but it's still very enjoyable.

      It should've been a series of films, really. It's been years since I read the books, but I still think they nailed the tone. This is looking reeeeally promising though.

        I think that was always the greatest disappointment with the movies for me: they only really covered the first three books. In total there were actually 13. I'm glad someone picked this series up again, and I'm even happier that it's Netflix. I have no doubt that they'll at least make me like the show. The question is gonna be whether I love it.

        Do the books have any re-read value to them? I haven't read them since there were released like 10 years ago. I feel like reading them now I would just knock them all out in a day...

          Yeah, and what they did cover felt rushed. I haven't read any of the books in almost ten years, not sure if they'd still grab me like they did back then, but I'm excited for this series.
