San Diego County fires: 'It's like a scene from Armageddon'
Brush fires broke out in more than half a dozen spots in northern San Diego County and spread at a dangerous pace as hot, dry, erratic winds, backed by record temperatures, raked Southern California for a second day Wednesday.

Damn, those pics look brutal. There is even people standing around with their personal water hoses... Looks dangerous! Get outta there!
Yeah, I've seen a couple of (abandoned at the time) houses catch fire in my life. The heat is so intense it's insane. Event from 1/2 a block away you can feel it pushing against you like a force. Turn off your hose, snap some pics for the insurance company, and go figure out where the red cross has setup their tents. You can do exactly nothing whenever it catches on fire.
