If 50% of the tech industry was comprised of women who are quiting, this would be a huge deal. I am guessing it is vastly less significant, but the important data doesn't seem to be in this article.

I would assume they looked at past departures instead of guessing future departures, I think this is the study they mentioned. So if you're interested in their method you'll propably find it in there.

If that is the study they mentioned it problematically focuses on academic science laboratories, as opposed to the tech industry.
