In theory they should at least come up with the smart compromise of enhanced checks for people investigated for terrorism previously when they are trying to buy guns. In 2013 or 2014 this guy was looked at by the FBI for terror leanings, they found nothing but should have flagged him as a potential risk and that should have triggered another look just to be sure when he went to buy the guns.

The top Senate Democrat on the Select Committee on Intelligence told CNN’s Jake Tapper that despite two opened and closed FBI investigations into Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen, the massacre was not a result of an intelligence failure. “I don’t believe there has been any intelligence failure associated with this,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D.-Calif.)

The guy was on a terrorist watch list.

Not your fault right Diane? Once again, our security "service" failed the American Republic, Boston, Fort Hood, San Bernardino, Orlando....and your answer is too many guns in America. You have total and utter access to every message and phone call being transmitted, you forcefully tramped on privacy in the name of your security program and somehow, after giving all of this over to you, you and your snoopers share no blame or responsibility in these events.

This self serving POS and people like her are not going to part of any solution.
