    Also, with cars driving themselves, you would need fewer police officers anyway, because you wouldn't need them patrolling to keep everyone in line. Unfortunately, this would mean some of them would lose their jobs, and may be forced to turn to crime in order to feed their families. Then more police officers would be recruited to deal with the increase in crime from the ex-police officers. Unfortunately, due to a lower budget, their wages will be low, they will be badly trained, feel angry at the situation, and may also be generally stupid.
