Why does Russia feel like they need more land? They already have so much.

Why does the US feel like they need to control more of the world? The already control so much!

Why do obscenely rich people feel like they need more money? They already have so much!

      It's called greed.

Point of fact, Georgia picked their last fight with Russia. Probably on a dare from Bush the Moronic. One doesn't hear much about that inconvenient truth in Western media. Nor does one tend to come across much discussion of the breadth, length and depth of Russia's care in dealing with the very complex web of distrust in the region.

It's not that it's hard to work out. It's just that it's so very easy to demonize an enemy on the basis of shit propaganda from co-opted, corporate media. Take, for example, how many chin wagging bandwagonning Russophobes can only talk about Russia as if its name was 'Putin.' Be careful what you wish for. Putin's the best president of the Russian Federation you're going to get. The second string of Russian national politicians generally want Alaska back after their third highball.

Protip: Russia's historically been the defender.
