Atheists tend to be seen as immoral - even by other atheists: study
Atheists are more easily suspected of evil deeds than Christians, Muslims, Hindus or Buddhists – even by fellow atheists, according to the authors of a new study. The finding suggests that in an increasingly secular world, many – including some atheists – still hold the view that people will do bad things unless they fear punishment from all-seeing gods.

It should be the opposite. If the only reason you don't do bad things is fear of an imaginary friend in the sky, I'm afraid of you.
Same here. If a whacking by a dude in the sky is all that's holding you in check, your scary!!!
I tend to lean to this reasoning as well. Hell, I wonder what happens when someone loses faith... murder spree or what?! /sarcasm
