I was just separating the protesters in the sentence so you could understand who I was taking about. Of course they're American and they care about their country. But are the protesters going to block the construction of the pipe for 4-8 years?

If you had a different mentality, you would word it as "our country". At the end of the day, these people are fighting for the future that doesn't have environmental destruction all for the sake of creating some bullshit oil jobs that we all know will be offloaded to machines THE FIRST CHANCE these greedy corporations get.
