Almost 60 percent of Venezuelans say they want out
Venezuelans of all political stripes want to abandon the country in record numbers, as the socialist nation continues its downward economic and political spiral, according to a poll released Friday. And that's the ones who haven't left yet.
Are they a Socialist nation? What do they do that follows Socialist doctrine? It seems to me that Venezuela is what happens when greedy, power-mad lunatics rape a nation.
This is where the "No True Scotsman" crowd usually chimes in; I disagree with the concept, personally. It makes no sense to say that someone is something by virtue of a claim. There is more to being a thing than merely claiming to be a thing. I learned an old saying a long time ago that is kind of appropriate: "While I was judging myself by my intentions, the world was judging me by my actions." People who think No True Scostman is a valid concept would say, "No, it's only appropriate to judge on intentions, actions do not matter". I respectfully disagree.
Venezuela is not a socialist country. It is a coprocracy. It has been so since the 70s, and they haven't learned anything from the repeated failures and misery they've brought upon themselves by listening to turds telling them how the government will solve all of their problems because they have oil. Even now they're dying of hunger, despite being in a tropical country where you can grow pretty much anything you want without any effort, because they're waiting for the government to solve their problems for them.
