Thanks for the compliments!! :) I used one skein of Caron Simply Soft Avocado, a J hook, and I followed the pattern in this video. I'm still learning how to read crochet patterns so it was especially great finding an instructional video!!

The instructions are very clear, and it's a nice scarf. I like the Avocado colors. You'll get the hang of reading patterns soon enough, but I agree having a video is so helpful, especially when you're first starting out. Crochet, like a lot of things, makes much more sense when you see it demonstrated.
