Million sign petition for new EU referendum
A petition calling for a second referendum on UK's membership of the EU has gained more than one million signatures following the vote to leave. The petition will be considered by Parliament as it has passed the required 100,000 threshold. The UK voted to leave the EU by 52% to 48% in Thursday's referendum but the majority of voters in London, Scotland and Northern Ireland backed Remain. David Cameron has previously said there would be no second referendum.

The stay campaign has known for three years that a referendum was coming, and they got a four month notice of the exact date, so they had plenty of time to make their case to the people. They tried. They lost. You don't get to keep asking for do-overs until you get the result you like. Suck it up and move on.

Scotland beats it's fist on the table and yells "Aw nawwwww!" Really people, you asked for it, you got it..No backing out now. Don't rain on Scotland's parade.
People are very, very angry. You would think the people who elected them would get it. Oh wait they were not elected? You mean the people who were not elected didn't get it? Oh. Neither did the people who didn't elect them. Now they are angry.
