I think this is the case in a lot of states. The one and only amusement park in Iowa is the one they listed as the best in this article. It has a couple of coasters but nothing out of the ordinary or anything new in the last few years. Although in fact checking this it looks like they are putting in a brand new coaster for next year so maybe there is hope in Oregon as well! Oregon also has a lot of other adventure things, zip-lining, kayaking, whitewater rafting etc.
