This is beautiful. The concept of a law requiring you to cover your own hair baffles me. The concept of "morality police" baffles me even more.
We have morality police in the USA. They don't call themselves that, but they enforce morality laws that were created by religious zealots. And, we also put people in prison for life for violating those laws, even though not a single person was harmed.
Sure, we may have some ridiculous laws that only exist because of zealots, but they are relatively small compared to the ones in Iran. If a law was passed that was anything like the Iranian morality police, we'd riot. The only law that hurts no-one that can put you in prison for life would be certain drug crimes, but I wouldn't say that's necessarily religious as the bible doesn't say much about drugs. It's more cultural.
I'm glad they are doing this, but I hate that website.
Totally agree about Buzzfeed, but stumbled upon that particular article and it really spoke to me.
This is fantastic, nobody should be told how to dress or act, be your own person.
As much as people may berate America, it truly is the land of the free. We are lucky to have all of these rights and freedoms.
