I remember when the only class involving computers at my school was Keyboarding 101. Hopefully there's a moving trend toward introducing students to programming classes earlier in the curriculum than college. And ideally without using lower level languages like C / C++.
Yeah it's definitely happening, and should get more popular as we get close to 2020. I personally got introduced through a keyboarding course and a turbo pascal coding course (for those who were born in the late 70's / early 80's).
