Yes, he makes a good point, but I agree with you that it's too general, because a) Starbucks is popular for reasons beyond its ability to make you feel good (and it's not even the best coffee company at doing so, especially when one considers that many independent coffeeshops at better at it and can make the argument in a more compelling way, and b) Starbucks did not invent this approach, and is really not the only company to do it. Other good examples are American Apparel, TOMS, and really anything organic or local. The idea that spending extra money makes it a better, more compassionate purchase.

Slate: "Jonathan Franzen’s First Novel Was Terrible, but it's being reissued anyway"
"Some books ought to be allowed to molder in peace. Jonathan Franzen’s first novel, The Twenty-Seventh City, published in 1988, is a paranoid conspiracy novel, the kind of thing that doesn’t age well—and hasn’t. It has earned some rest. But it’s been trotted out for its 25th anniversary..."

New Yorker Critic argues Spike Lee's “Oldboy” is better than original
New Yorker: "Spike Lee’s remake is better than the original: clearer, stranger, and more deeply rooted in a vision of life."

I've heard it said that millenials will have 8 careers throughout their lifetimes. I don't know how true this is, but it seems to line up with this article.

Haha. Good way to put it! I came in guns blazing when I should have been like "oh, this place is cool."
Anyway I just submitted my first Snap. Let's see how it goes from here.

Look I'm not trying to be that difficult. Let's just take back what I said and move forward.
It seems like we have different definitions of blogspam. That's all. I should have called it a "listicle." It's cool that it's been mentioned on reddit and obviously it brought people, like me, here. I think the important thing that you could take from this is that perhaps you overreacted by resorting to attempting to embarrass me just because I interpreted an article as not being "legit." The important thing I should take is that some of my contributions are interpreted as being negative and that I should try to have a more positive presence and then perhaps sneak constructive criticism as necessary.

Well, it's extremely strange for you to do that.
Yes, over the last week, there were 4 different times that I called people out for blogspam. It's something that really bothers me, that is happening all over the place, and that I'm trying to prevent there from being more of.
If I'm going to give this site a chance, which I probably won't after this strange call-out, I would prefer if there were a certain level of integrity that did not include self-congratulatory postings of mashable articles written about AskReddit posts.

This doesn't seem very legit to me. A mention in a blogspam article based on an AskReddit post?
EDIT: I've decided not to delete this comment, even though I basically regret making. Please reserve your judgments until you've scrolled down and seen my follow-up and semi-apology.
