    1. It doesn't actually list any risks other than "Is solar worth the bet?"

    2. It says you published it into /t/solarpower, but when I go to the tribe, I don't see it.

    3. I'm currently off grid with batteries, and will be upgrading to solar by the end of this summer. I don't look at this from the point of view of the typical grid-tied homeowner because of this. The Powerwall seems to be for people who are grid-tied. I think if 5% of houses had a powerwall, rolling blackouts wouldn't be an issue in the hot summers or cold winters. The powerwall will basically ease the stress on the grid. For me, since I'm not tied into a grid, I want a solution that is just for me and doesn't have anything to do with the grid.

Weird, the post shows up for me fine under /t/solarpower.

Regarding your #2, the post shows up now under trending, perhaps it was under newest when you looked since it lacked votes/comments.

So do you think the Powerwall is not well-suited for off-the-grid living?

I think it would work for off-grid living, but there is one main aspect that off-grid livers wouldn't appreciate.

        1. you don't own the powerwall. You are renting it and usage statistics are sent back to the company.
