Before everyone get all pissed at Netflix, let's re-read this paragraph

The movie studios are not happy with these deviant subscribers as it hurts their licensing agreements. Previously entertainment industry sources in Australia complained bitterly that tens of thousands of Netflix “VPN-pirates” were hurting their business.

It's not Netflix causing this issue. It's the RIAA and associated ilk limiting choices. They did it with DVD Regions and are forcing Netflix to limit choices to streaming customers as well.

Netflix don't care. It makes money from subscribers, no matter where in the world they happen to be.

They will lose customers because of this. The ones that live outside of the US that can't otherwise get it.

Exactly! No one in their right mind is going to pay the same amount of hard earned cash for 1/10th of the library. I can see a lot of people cancelling their "legitimate" subscriptions and then resorting to piracy to download what they cannot get otherwise, this whole location based digital rights management is discriminating and should be stopped. Yet another idiotic concept that only PROMOTES piracy.
