I wonder what the R-Value is compared to normal glass.

Curious to know the reason for your question? Are you wondering how well it performs as an insulator or generally what amount of heat it would take to damage it?

When I think of glass, the first thing that pops into my head is windows on a house. In AK it's important to make sure your windows have SOME R-Value. Windows are always worse than no windows when it comes to retaining heat, but the better your windows insulate, the less heat they lose. If you could have regular glass windows with a decent R-Value vs bulletproof glass windows with the same R-Value (and if for some reason they were a similar cost) what would you choose?

Good point. Definitely the bullet-proof variety.
