Years ago as a kid, I was watching a sitcom and suddenly realized I had seen the exact same story in another sitcom I'd watched recently. I knew what was going to happen so I saw no point in watching it. I never watched another one,as they were all the same, as were most tv shows. I watched mostly PBS to avoid the bland sameness and insipid laugh tracks..
I've also seen the same plot in movies over and over again as well. I seldom watch movies and no longer have a tv because the plots are rehashed ad nauseam.

Yeah, most new movies and TV shows today are rehashed story lines. It's rare to find a truly unique viewing experience these days.
