A Living Wage for Every American Could Bring About a Creative Renaissance
What would you do if money were no object? You've probably been asked that question at least once in your life, whether it was a high school guidance counselor or a friend trying to sort out why you hate your day job. But really: Would you finally record that album, write that novel, go on tour? Would you focus on your family and relationships? Would you travel, volunteer or write essays? Teach yourself new skills like cooking, coding or woodworking? Or all of the above?

The poverty level for 2015 is $11,670 for 1 person and I assume that's the minimum livable income wage they would use. There is an estimated 242 Million working age Americans, for a total of 2.8 Trillion dollars per year without any inflation. Where do we get this money from? Look at the 2014 budget for comparison, the total of the entire budget was 3.9 Trillion dollars total, 564 Billion of that went into our 18 Trillion dollar debt... so I don't know where we get this minimum income from.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the idea, but I don't see it being feasible.
I really like this idea and have since I first heard of it.
