Physics-exploiting axe splits wood in record time
Chopping wood is hard, but it’s something modern society has largely freed us from as a daily activity. That’s nice, but consequently, if you ever do have to chop wood, you’re more than likely going to suck at it. Splitting a log requires a surprising amount of force, but Finnish inventor Heikki Kärnä has invented a new kind of axe that makes it much easier and safer.

It looks like the axe torques your wrist. Wondering what that would do to your wrist after an hour or so of splitting wood. I like the idea of using a tire to hold the log in place.
Yeah I actually noticed the tire and was like... shit thats a pretty good idea! The axe on the other hand... yeah its also quite helpful since it does the splitting rather quickly. Would love to try it out and see how my wrists are after a few rounds.
