A cool little hack you can do once you finish most of your peanut butter from those plastic jars. Cut it in half, and screw the two halves into your tree. In a matter of a few hours you're going to have a bunch of little guys licking at the peanut butter.
I don't care if they get in my bird feeder,in fact,I set out nuts and sunflower seeds for the squirrels.

What i do with empty peanut or almond butter jars is put them on the porch and leave them for the squirrels to clean before they are recycled.
