This is pretty amazing, good on you for putting something like this together for your kid! I wasn't able to find where you sourced the parts ie. engine, batteries, suspension. Just a local home depot? or something a bit more specialized?
Looks like most are bike parts. As for the electric engine, maybe Radioshack?
