Everyone else is talking science, but you just had to give religion a jab. Why? What's the point of introducing the subject of religion when the rest of the conversation had not ventured anywhere near it? It's this kind of toxicity that made reddit such an unpleasant place.
Next time I will try and think about something else when I see a piece of information. I am trying hard to control my thoughts so I don't upset some moron...
I do not think that upsetting someone should be your focus here. It should be on contributing to the conversation of the new discovery and in stead you decided to take a jab at religion, as /u/askingscience pointed out.
