Fired FBI official authorized criminal probe of Sessions, sources say
Within weeks, Rosenstein appointed special counsel Robert Mueller to take over the investigation and related inquiries, including the Sessions matter. Two months ago, Sessions was interviewed by Mueller's team, and the federal inquiry related to his candor during his confirmation process has since been shuttered, according to a lawyer representing Sessions.

Well this seems like a pretty big fucking deal, to use the words of our former great VP.
1) We now know there has been a FBI criminal investigation into Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
2) Sessions fired the guy that initiated the criminal investigation of him, for cause, yet no cause has been given.
Fired based on the recommendation of the OPR and the OIG for "lack of candor, including under oath".
The word they avoided using was "perjury" (though that's what is it), same as with Clapper. If they used that word, they would have to prosecute.
