it's not about destroying businesses, it's about not letting them trample people's rights. now if how they conduct their business meets with the disapproval of their community, and they are boycotted and go out of business, then that's how the cookie crumbles.

this is the base concept of psychopathy: they can still understand that something is illegal on an academic level, and that they shouldn't break the law because, technically, there could be consequences if they got caught (which they would view as more, like, huge inconveniences), they don't have any concept of right and wrong and don't care. they can't. that part of their brain doesn't work correctly because it is structurally malformed or damaged.
of course that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be held any less accountable for their actions or be considered any less terrifying and potentially dangerous.

i'm sorry, but to me it always seemed much more of a commentary on not only her stodgy, stuck-up, conformist, government bureaucrat nature, not a personal statement on fashion. anything but. i think this article is just another example of people today attempting to co-opting yesterday's pop-culture for today's purposes while fundamentally misunderstanding the original message or intent.
is it naiveté? is it ignorance? or it it just blind, selfish, determinism to make their dammed point, no matter what past pop-culture treasures are violated? sheesh.
