Apple yesterday confirmed that it has implemented power management features in older iPhones to improve performance and prevent unexpected shutdowns as the battery in the devices starts to degrade, and this admission has now led to a class action lawsuit, which was first noticed by TMZ.

I noticed my old phone was slowing down considerably so I ended up selling it since the battery was still fine. Kind upset they weren't a bit more upfront with what was wrong with the phone at the apple store.
I switched after I noticed this with my last iPhone that lasted me 4 yrs
Anyone know if this also affects ipads? I don't think I seen it mentioned in the article.
Meanwhile Google is optimizing Android to run faster and use up less battery on older and slower devices. Hmm.
