Is anyone really surprised by this? Every country spies.
I'm not even a country and I'm spying!!
Seriously though, every country spies, not just first or second world ones. I wonder if anything positive would happen if a country didn't, and I don't mean "we pinky promise we're not!!" I'm all for not being spied on, but at the same time will never subscribe to the "if you have nothing to hide then why care?" line of thought.
France will always have the moral high ground, no matter what. Because we are special that way.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
