7 Insights to Consider When Redesigning Your Blog

Just a few more items, I can think of...
* Content is king - if you have something compelling to write, write it! The web is a textual medium as much as a visual. This means everything on one page. If I see a "click next!", I'm backing out.
* Speed is life - Just like in nature. If your site takes more than 3-4 seconds to load, I'll go somewhere else. That means lean and clean code, and limit the amount of off-server code you have loading
* Content is still king - re-hashing what someone else said on another site is useless. Have an opinion, and stick with it. Contribute something new. There's enough 'reheating leftovers' out there.
* Lightbox should die - inter-page lightbox 'popups' over your content asking for an email address is a superb way for me to close the window and go elsewhere
Eh, all I can think of at the moment.
