6 light years is over 50 trillion km. "Just" is not a good choice of wording.
I'm pretty sure the 'just' has a very relative connotation to it. The closest star(s) (Alpha Centauri) are just 4.3 light-years away. So to have found evidence for a super-Earth so close is pretty spectacular.
