The irony of going to a website about ad blocking to be met with an obnoxious full page ad that a ad blocker didn't filter out.... Couldn't read the article before I rage quit the site. Ad blocking is a reaction to bad marketing, it will do nothing but hopefully force change. I don't mind my pod casters injecting their casts with ads so long as they are relevant and not a huge part of the pod cast. I have toyed with the idea of supporting services through Patreon. People need to be compensated for their work, but I will go elsewhere if your ads are more important then your material.
