Actually getting robbed wouldn't be too bad. The problem is you can get sick, kidnapped, murdered, raped, all sorts of fun things that are commonplace in South American big cities, and tend to happen much more to clueless foreigners.
So true...I find the whole thing a waste of time and resources so the one percent can further suck money out of every one else s pockets.
