Seriously looking forward to this, but I doubt anything even close will be available for at least 10 more years.
Spoke to my dentist about this and he gave the same estimate as you did. He was convinced (his words) that "it wont be 'till way after my pension" and he is half way his fifties.
Technology like this is awesome, but I am way too impatient to wait for improvements. ;-)
