If you were threatened with swatting, it might be a good idea to contact your local PD and explain it to them and give them your address. I know a few popular streamers have done that and saved themselves & the officers some time.

I think mostly driving would be the same in all countries. I mean, Miles -> Kilometers, some countries drive on the Left instead of Right. I don't think a lot of the fundamentals would be that hard to change around. Not sure.

First day refugee myself. It's an interesting site for sure, but it's a strange transition. I have been playing around here most the day trying to figure out how I can best use the site (and how I can be the best use for the site). Seems nice so far :x

I remember when it happened to "n0thing" (a popular North American Counter-Strike streamer). He caught it on stream. He said as soon as he heard the sirens (or maybe he saw something, I can't remember) he went outside fearing for his fathers life (who was doing yard work or something outside). As soon as the swat arrived he explained to them what was going on and why. They still cuffed/tie strapped both of them while they searched the house. I think n0thing even talked about it recently on the Joe Rogan pod cast (I can find a link if anyone is interested)

With no context, I am going to answer with a different kind of dumb.
When I was ~19 I helped my parents move a fridge. A friend of theirs had an old fridge they were getting rid of and my dad wanted it for a basement beer/other fridge. We borrowed my uncles beater truck (we didn't have far to go) and went to grab it. The truck was noisy, small (ranger?) and almost rusted out. Also, the tail gate didn't come down. We get to the friends place, grab the fridge and bring it up the tiny hill to the driveway, and even managed to load the fridge over the tailgate into the back of the truck. My dad with his short little arms could get the fridge to the front of the bed, so I think it would be a good idea to climb over the tailgate. I put my weight on my left leg, put my right foot over the tailgate, and go to pull myself up. SNAP. I broke the end of my femur.
Not sure if that is the kind of answer you were looking for, but I thought it was a pretty stupid way to break a bone (especially the largest one in my body).

Change my view;
To the "average" person, a stadium is much more useful than pictures of a distant ex-planet. Sport is entertainment and a stadium is something that people can visit and gain enjoyment out of for years to come. A picture is mild entertainment once, maybe twice, ever.
Don't get me wrong, I am all about exploration & I think it's very cool that we are taking up close pictures of planets and trying to learn more about our solar system, but why is that being compared to a sporting complex?

The title of the article is interesting, but the article itself left a lot to be desired. I understand this is likely a large step in robotics, but what they accomplished seems pretty simplistic. No need to start worrying yet...

I use the gamer tag Targe+ and I used to only post things related to Quake2. I have moved on, but I kept the name.

Not sure if you ever saw the video where they talk a bit about how the cars work, but it's very interesting. They can actually see 360 degrees basically at all times. The things they can do goes far beyond what a human is capable of.
