So, we have this political system where corruption is rampant and Congress members are allowed to receive all sorts of "gifts" and "campaign contributions", and make those legal because they're the ones who make the laws.
Now, suddenly, the same uber-corrupt people are crying bloody murder because the president is enriching himself by virtue of being the president. I can't say they're wrong, but it is like hyenas complaining that a vulture is eating their food. The correct answer to this problem is to put the whole Federal Government in jail before even asking any questions, but again, they're the ones who make the laws.
Wishful thinking, I doubt there will be another French Revolution type of event (minus the guillotine of course), there is way too much technology now to keep people comfortable.
The next revolution will come from technology, not people.
